DAT Led Team Awarded First Tasking under GSA Five Year BPA

GSA awards initial tasking under recently awarded Banket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for further development and maintenance of the “One GSA” Enterprise Architecture to prime contractor Data Access Technologies and its partners: Booz|Allen|Hamilton, Ciber and OmniSolve.

Vienna, VA, 17 February 2006 - Data Access Technologies, Inc. (DAT), a leading provider of Service Oriented (SOA) and Enterprise Architecture focused consulting services and tools, has been awarded initial tasking under the Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) it won earlier this month to assist the General Services Administration (GSA) to continue development and maintenance of its Enterprise Architecture (EA) known as “One GSA”.

DAT has been working with the OCIO, its Chief Technology Officer and Chief Architect for the past two years to develop the One GSA Enterprise Architecture. In its efforts to extend this architecture across all of GSA, the agency issued a comprehensive Request for Quote (RFQ) to cover GSA Enterprise Architecture activities and procurements for the next five years.  This award is the first result of the DAT Team’s response to that original RFQ.

This initial Task Order was detailed in the original BPA RFQ as one of four "Sample Tasks". It is to build out a detailed EA for GSA-wide Contract Writing. This Task will use the same DAT-developed methodology and tools as the recently completed Financial Management EA build-out, and will integrate with it. "GSA has found DAT's methodology and approach to building out detailed Enterprise Architectures very beneficial in that it provides a strong communication mechanism between GSA Technical and Business personnel. One GSA provides the overall umbrella under which each of these business disciplines interoperate", said Ed Seidewitz, Vice President, Model Driven Architecture Services for DAT.

“This initial BPA Task award confirms GSA's strong acceptance of the DAT methodology and approach provide GSA a strong basis for developing their targeted goal of a Service Oriented and Model Driven Architecture.” said Cory Casanave, President and CEO of DAT.  “We look forward to winning additional tasking under this BPA that will continue GSA's move to a fully integrated, modernized service supplier for the Federal Government ”, continued Mr. Casanave.

DAT has put together a powerful team of highly experienced organizations to respond to GSA needs. The team consists of Booz|Allen|Hamilton, Inc., CIBER, Inc., and OmniSolve, Inc. Each of the partners, combined with DAT's methodology, tooling and expertise, provide GSA a complete Enterprise Architecture solution across all of GSA's lines-of-business and service offices.

Booz Allen

Booz Allen is at the market forefront, providing strategic EA support services to clients such as the U.S. Departments of Education, State, Energy, Housing & Urban Development, Office of Personnel Management and many parts of Defense. Their experience has positioned them to understand risks and obstacles to the success of EA, and allows them to draw lessons, examples and value from agencies similar to GSA, GSA itself, and from commercial shared service organizations that innovatively address similar challenges. Booz Allen has been intimately involved in the creation of the Federal Enterprise Architecture, adding another facet to the strength they bring to the DAT team.

CIBER builds, integrates, and supports solutions and services by integrating domain knowledge and experience with technical expertise in information technology, energy, physical security, healthcare, defense and aerospace, training, and accounting. CIBER’s EA experience includes development, management and implementation methodologies, frameworks and toolkits that enable repeatable results. Their success with the National Association of State Information Officers (NASCIO) Enterprise Architecture Toolkit, including those based on OMG Standards, and the VHA’s Information Model is a direct result of functional and domain expertise and experience.

OmniSolve is an innovative management and technology solutions provider committed to providing comprehensive solutions that support clients' needs and enable them to meet their business and technology goals. OmniSolve applies their extensive knowledge in software development and implementation of large, complex, mission-critical systems to develop intuitive, conforming and innovative solutions for customers.
